Nature’s Botanical

Personal Insect Repellent – repels flies, midges and mosquitoes

Rosemary & Cedarwood Oil Crème and Lotion

Nature’s Botanical is an essential oil based personal insect repellent. It repels flies, sandflies (aka midges) and mosquitoes and DOES NOT contain chemicals such as DEET or Picaradin. Customers report that it can also soothes itches if it’s too late.

Scientifically conducted field studies demonstrate the product can repel flies, midges and mosquitoes for up to 4 hours when applied to lower limbs. These studies were conducted in Tropical QLD (Cairns). Actual protection time will vary depending on a host of factors such as how applied, the area of protection (limbs are less attractive to flies than the face) and skin chemistry (eg sweating, how attractive an individual is to insects etc).

The product comes in a thick crème, which is hand applied and a lotion which is applied by roll-on or spray.  If applying above the eyes, the crème is less likely to run in the eyes with sweat.

Nature’s Botanical has sold more than half a million units in Australia and overseas since 2005.

Safe Active Ingredients

Nature’s Botanical Creme’s essential oil ingredients are Rosemary Oil and Cedarwood Oil. These are combined in a base which includes olive oil and vegetable based emulsifiers. Nature’s Botanical Lotion’s ingredients are identical except there is no olive oil base. Both products contain a food grade preservative E211.

Both oils are regarded as safe for application to skin by regulators such as the EPA. Whilst the insect repelling properties are relatively well known, they are understood to have other beneficial properties.

Products & Online Store

Nature’s Botanical Products come in two forms, a Crème and a Lotion. Both use Rosemary and Cedarwood essential oils, the safety and properties of which are well documented.

Nature’s Botanical Crème

A soft white creamy appearance and feel, Nature’s Botanical Crème has the texture of a high end moisturiser and a pleasant aromatic odour reminiscent of its essential oil base.  When the Crème is rubbed into the skin it becomes transparent and leaves no oily residue.

It certainly is a unique product and is Nature’s Botanical best seller with customers throughout the years being extremely pleased with the results.

Nature’s Botanical Lotion

Nature’s Botanical Lotion is substantially thinner than the Crème and is more suitable when used in a spray and roll-on application. Like the Crème, the Lotion is an easy to apply white lotion that becomes transparent when rubbed into the skin.
